Submission Guidelines

Rapture Publishing publishes two print anthologies a year. We are currently accepting submissions for original (never-published) novellas from 25,000 to 30,000 words.

Storyline must be fresh and compelling with fully developed characters and interesting conflicts. Love scenes must be highly intense and sexually explicit, leaving nothing to the imagination. Ending must be happily ever after.

Story can be in any genre (contemporary, fantasy, historical, paranormal, suspense, sci-fi, or futuristic).

Your story must focus on the developing romance between the heroine and the hero (or heroes if it is a menage or multiple-partner romance).

In the Body of Your Email

Include your book's title, the genre, total computer word count of the finished manuscript, your pen name (if you use one), your current email address, your physical mailing address, and your phone number. Optionally, include a short bio and the URL of your writing website if you have one.

In 500 words (and no more than that), give a detailed but concise synopsis starting with a hook, an overview of the plot, information on your major characters, the major conflict and resolution, and the ending.

Check Your Manuscript

We will not consider incest, pedophilia, rape or forced seduction, bodily functions, necrophilia, or bestiality (unless the characters involved are sentient beings). No hard-core erotica or male-focused fantasies.

Your manuscript must be POLISHED and be free of typographical, grammatical, and spelling errors.

Attachment of the Complete Manuscript

Please submit your COMPLETE manuscript. Attach your entire manuscript as one document in a .DOC or .RTF file only. Do not send PDF or Word Perfect files.

Response Time

Our response time is 2 to 4 months. We will accept only 8 novellas a year.
